End of an era, start of the next
Mar. 4th, 2008 11:39 pmWell, the P4 "Northwood" era of my desktop computer use is about to end, and the Core 2 Duo is about to start.
One Northwood has turned in to a terminal services machine, and my gaming machine I am going to sell to a client.
My biggest thing I am going to miss is that I am also saying goodbye to my most kick ass of cases, the Shuttle SB75G2 - what an awesome rock steady machine...
However, it will serve a client very well, and I'll be able to say hello I am sure when they overload it with spyware, or something else, despite all my best intentions.
So - Tonight I will blast it and get it ready, and kiss goodbye to my Asus x850 graphics card with its blue LED fan too...
But yeah,
Going to miss them, they've served me well for a good many years.
And in its place, a bargainly powerful Dell Vostro 200 that I got for a steal...
But hey, enuff Geek... Back to the reformat, just need to find what the hell I've done with my XP disk!
