I'm currently undergoing a big departmental review, thats coming to a head at the moment (and not always in the best way).
Basically management have stumbled when it comes to our job descriptions and job roles (oh and job titles) -
They've sorta said "well, errm, you come up with something, and get back to us".
Now, this could be a good thing for us, but at the same time frustrating, as if they don't know what they want me to do, how am I supposed to write a job description to that effect?
So may I ask for help - if its possible, can you mail me, or post on here the info you have for your job title, your roles and responsibilities and job description...? (and if its not too cheeky your approximate pay).

Sorry that I've been quiet on here recently - but this is one reason - the chaos and madness that is going on at work at the moment is stressing me out so much, its making me ill and certainly affecting me in day to day life as it is something thats occupying my mind. We were "promised" answers to our problems two weeks after Christmas (after initially being told we would have some info before then), that's sadly not happened - and what we got back yesterday in terms of some "ink on paper" had to be edited for information that "we the technicians" were not allowed to see, and basically just fires back a whole load more questions. No answers, no conclusions...
*sigh*
So - I'm trying to help myself by coming back to them to say "I want to be titled xyz (probably Network Administrator" or something) and my roles are XYZ" - and take it from there.
But yeah, if you could help, or maybe if you know of any websites etc etc that may help give me some guidelines, I'd be greatful...
